The following guidelines will assist you in properly submitting your articles to
TheArticleNet.com. They will help you to understand what we will and won't accept.
Submitting an article in no way, guarantees inclusion in TheArticleNet.com directory. We
reserve the right to reject an article submission for any reason.
1. Article Submission
a. Submitting your articles to TheArticleNet.com is free.
b. By submitting your articles to The Article Net, you grant us the right to publish your
articles. We may publish your articles anywhere on our website, blog, or syndicate through RSS.
We may also change where it appears, including the category, at any time.
c. By submitting your articles to The Article Net, you grant others the right to publish your
articles. Other The Article Net users have the right to publish your articles on their websites,
in their newsletters or ezines, and more as long as the article is left in the original state.
This includes the resource box which provides you credit as the author of the content.
d. Submitting your articles to The Article Net, does not entitle you to financial compensation
of any kind. You will not receive compensation from The Article Net or the users of our
directory for articles you submit.
e. Before submitting your article, please make sure that your article is not already
submitted.
f. Submitting multiple copies of the same article using different titles, names, or with only
slight modifications is not allowed.
g. Submit to only ONE relevant category per article. Submissions to multiple categories will
result in ALL copies of that article being removed, and in extreme and repeated cases, you will
be banned from future submission.
h. You are not permitted to submit an article on behalf of another author (even with their
full knowledge and permission).
i. No rebranded articles are allowed. You must be the sole copyright holder for each article
you submit. Articles written by a ghost writer are acceptable as long as they are being used
exclusively by you.
j. Articles must be grammatically correct, spellchecked and proofread. Articles that are full
of spelling and grammatical errors will not be accepted.
k. Articles should not be a press release, advertisement, sales letter, promotional copy, or
blatant and excessive self-promotion or hype. Articles should be informative and share your
unique expertise. You may include tips, strategies, techniques, analysis, opinions and
commentary in your articles.
l. Articles must not contain direct affiliate links. If you are promoting affiliate programs
through articles, please use your own domain name to redirect the link to your affiliate
website.
m. Articles must not contain Popups. Links in the article must not activate popups when
clicked.
n. Articles must not contain Javascripts. They are not allowed in any form.
o. Articles must not be offensive or contain any content that is of an adult nature or that is
a violation of any law, be considered defamatory, libelous, or infringes on the legal rights of
others.
2. Article Format
a. Title
i. The article title must be in Title case - the words in lowercase with the first letter of
each major word capitalized.
ii. No Author or Website Name is allowed in the title.
iii. No HTML tags are allowed in the title.
iv. No quotation marks around your title. There may be, however, quotations around a "single"
word in the title. Only one quotation set per title
v. Do not put a "period" at the end of the title.
vi. The title should be "Keyword Rich".
b. Body
i. The article must be at least 200 words minimum and no more than 3500 words maximum. The
ideal article size to us is between 300 to 900 words.
ii. Do not repeat the article title and author name at the top of the article body.
iii. Do not submit articles that are pre-formatted to 60-65 characters per line with excessive
hard carriage returns. The article text should flow continuously and wrap naturally. To start a
new line, hit the "Enter" key once; to start a new paragraph, hit the "Enter" key twice to create
a horizontal white space.
iv. If you make a hard sell in the article body by including your URL or product pitch or
blatant self-promotion, your article will be rejected. The resource box is where you get to
pitch yourself or your website address.
v. The following HTML tags are allowed in the article body:

Paragraph tag: <p> </p>
Break tag: <br>
Image tag: <img src>
Font tag: <font> </font>
Header tag: <h1>, <h2>, <h3>, etc.
Horizontal Rule tag: <hr>
c. Author Names
In order to submit your articles, you will first need to create your "Author Name". This
serves as your public profile and identifies you as the author of the article.
The author name must comprise of a First Name and a Last Name. Initials are not allowed
except as a middle initial. Examples:
Not Acceptable J. Smith, J.R. Smith, J.S., John S.
Acceptable John Smith, John R. Smith
We do not allow adjectives, nouns and other descriptors to be used as your author name.
d. Website Links
i. Only a maximum of three links (active and inactive) of websites that you own, control or
have an interest in, are allowed per article.
ii. Please confine the links to the resource box as far as possible.
iii. Do not include the same link or url more than once.
iv. Articles must not contain direct affiliate links. If you are promoting affiliate programs
through articles, please use your own domain name to redirect the link to your affiliate
website.
e. Article Summary
i. Every article must have a 2 - 5 sentence article summary. The purpose of the article
summary is to give an abstract or summary of the benefits that your article delivers.
ii. If you do not know what to put in there you may use the first paragraph of your article as
the article summary.
iii. No HTML tags of any kind are allowed in the article summary.
iv. No blatant self-promotions is allowed in the article summary.
v. No author name, website address and/or email address are allowed in the article
summary.
f. Author Resource Box
i. This is the place where you can promote yourself, not in the article itself.
ii. You may use a maximum of 3 "Self-Serving" Links/URLS, active or inactive, in your resource
box. These are links/URL's to a website that you own, control or have an interest in.
iii. Double check your links before submitting to be sure they work. Your article may be
rejected if your website links do not work.
iv. You may use HTML code to make your link active.
v. We do not accept articles that have the same ACTIVE link more than once. Do not
submit duplicate identical URLs.
g. Adding Keywords
i. Adding the top keywords related to your article helps us to bring more traffic to your
article.
ii. Please make sure you put a comma between each keyword.
iii. You should have a minimum of 4 - 5 keywords and a maximum of 25.
